Primion has now handed over a generous donation of EUR 4,000 to the German Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) for the Wish Car Campaign (wuenschewagen.de). Around half of the amount was collected by employees at the traditional raffle during the end-of-year party in November. The Primion management generously rounded up the sum.
The donation in the form of a symbolic giant cheque was presented by Finance Director Arjo Haagsma (right) to Daniel Groß (left), Deputy Regional Managing Director, and Silke Löser (centre) from ASB Baden-Württemberg. Haagsma emphasised: “We are proud to be able to make a contribution to this wonderful initiative, which brings comfort and joy to many people at a difficult time.” With this donation, Primion is supporting a valuable social task that is particularly important in challenging times.
The Wish Car Campaign enables seriously ill or dying people to realise their last wish – be it a trip to a special place, a unique experience or another individual wish. The Wish Car is specially equipped to ensure maximum safety from a medical point of view during the journey.
The wishes of those affected vary greatly and range from a visit to a Rammstein concert to a sightseeing flight or a trip to the Baltic Sea. ASB's regional associations in Germany work closely together to fulfil wishes, even over long distances. The campaign is financed almost exclusively by donations and is actively supported by countless volunteers. In addition, more and more organisers such as event agencies and football clubs are supporting the project, for example by offering discounted tickets.
The ASB representatives expressed their sincere thanks to Primion and its employees: “This support helps us and the many volunteers to fulfil people's wishes in their final phase of life and to accompany them with dignity.”
